New Practitioner
If you are a first-time practitioner within 18 months of graduation, you'll receive up to a 75% discount. To qualify, send us your completed professional liability insurance application. Discounts up to 50% in New York.
Leave of Absence
The leave of absence discount lets you take time off from your practice at significant premium reduction. There is no coverage for acts performed during the period of the leave of absence. Acts performed subsequent to your retroactive date and prior to the date of the leave of absence will continue to be covered as if your policy were active. You must notify us in writing before returning to practice to reactivate your policy. Leave of absence is available for 12 months maximum (6 months in New York). Not available in Kansas.
The discount is available for the following situations:
- Maternity/paternity leave
- Continuing chiropractic education
- Practice relocation
- Medical disability
Part-time Practitioner
If you work 20 hours or less, you may qualify for substantial rate savings.
Semi-retired Practitioner
If you are at least 55 years old and have been an OUM policyholder for at least 5 consecutive years and practice 20 hours a week or less, you may qualify for a 50% discount.
