This course will cover HIPAA basics in relation to social media and the HIPAA concerns chiropractic physicians should be aware of when using social media. The speaker will cover the do’s and don’ts of social media and will provide risk management concerns pertaining to social media.

Kevin West, Esq.
Kevin West's practice at Parsons Behle & Latimer emphasizes healthcare and employment law. Mr. West also does trial work, particularly in the areas of employment law, commercial litigation, professional malpractice, personal injury, and insurance litigation. Mr. West is a member of the Idaho, Utah and Washington State Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice before all state courts in those states, as well as in federal courts in Idaho and Utah. Mr. West is on the Idaho HIPAA Counsel Committee and assisted the state of Idaho in implementing HIPAA regulations when HIPAA was first put in place back in 1996. He has authored a HIPAA Privacy Manual, HIPAA Security Manual and many HIPAA training, forms and policies for healthcare organizations, associations and professionals. Mr. West is national counsel for OUM.
